Now's the part where you realise that we have a ton in common + I'm a big ol' weirdo just like you. There's a true crime podcast on in the background as I write this + I have a cat cuddled up on my lap.
I grew up in North East England, and moved to Aotearoa, New Zealand in 2017. I soon fell in love with capturing the beautiful landscapes around every corner. My passion for photography expanded to a desire to capture moments with the people in this world, and Captured by Amelia was born.
I live in Hamilton with my partner, Cam, and our cat, Kitkat. When I don't have a camera in my hand, I'm usually found scouting out the best coffee, lifting weights at CrossFit, hiking a mountain (or snowboarding down it).

My approach is anything but traditional. I truly believe that the path to authentic photos is by being your friend. No cheesy formal poses. I want to show you more than what you look like, I want to show you how you FEEL.
I promise to be way more than your photographer, which is why i'm often one of the first people couples reach out to - often even before they've booked a venue or date. I'm 100% hands on helping with every aspect of planning your wedding, I can help scout out secluded ceremony locations, join you via facetime to just chat and offer advice, or offer an ear for you to vent about your crazy family to.
